A Productive Day During a Brownout: Making the Most of No Electricity

in BayaniHive2 days ago

Hello everyone. 👋🏻

‎We had a brownout last Thursday, so we don't have an internet connection either.

‎We need to think of useful ways to spend our time instead of just sitting and feeling bored. 😅

‎My hubby started the day by filling and leveling the parts of the road. The ground was uneven and dangerous for passing vehicles.

‎Actually, this should be a proper concrete road, don't you think? 🫣 But since it wasn't being fixed, my hubby just decided to help make it safer. 👏🏻

‎After that, because the weather was so nice, we spent more time outside.

‎We did a little gardening. My hubby replanted some of the oregano, then we tied some plants to our wire fence so they could grow into a nice cover and keep the dust from coming in.

‎Then we went upstairs. I already cleaned up all the fallen leaves... And then my hubby decided to prune the trees. 🫣 He cut away the overgrown branches to keep the trees healthy, strong, and well-shaped.

‎Yeah, after pruning, there were leaves everywhere again. 🥹 Oh well, at least those trees will look better again. 😅

‎When we went back inside, I was so glad that we had our solar electric fan. It was a huge help, especially with my kids. Then I had fun with Ryzen and Aiden, played with their stickers, and put them on my nails. Hahaha... Do they look pretty? 😍

‎And of course, after all the work, we got hungry. 😆 We enjoyed the watermelon that we bought from the grocery, plus the sandwich from my sister-in-law.

‎Brownouts can be boring, but if you plan what to do, you can actually be productive and have fun. 🥰

‎How about you? What do you usually do when there's a power interruption? 😊

‎Until my next productive day...

‎‎Thanks for the visit! Have a lovely day. Buh-bye. 💗🌸

Awww, fixing the road for the passerby is just so so awesome! But yes, sementuhin na dapat yan. Baka sa next halalan pa nila yan gagawing concrete abanaman. And ang dami nyong ganap! My fav from this post though is the foods ƪ(‾.‾“)┐ heh

Nakailang botohan na, tong kalsada dito mas lumalala haha... Di man lang paglaanan ng pera. 🥲

Thanks @zoe01. 🥰

Wow,ang sipag naman ng hubby mo! Nakakatuwa na kahit hindi pa concrete road, he still took the initiative to make it safer for everyone. That’s true bayanihan spirit right there. And grabe, watermelon plus sandwich after all that hard work sounds like the perfect reward.

Brownouts can be boring, pero tama ka. If you plan what to do, they can actually turn into productive and even fun moments. 🥰

Ako naman, kapag may power interruption, I usually spend time with my fur baby Chow Chow and enjoy a cup of coffee while relaxing, para hindi sayang ang oras at marefresh din.

Brownouts can sometimes be a blessing in disguise. 😊 It gives us a chance to do things we usually don't have time for. Hehe

Great job finishing the daily Ecency leaderboard quest, @mayt! Your husband’s initiative to improve the road for everyone is truly commendable and inspiring.

Tipped with Ecency POINTS.
