In late September I’ll be traveling to the U.S. to join Terra Madre Americas, a gathering of people who care deeply about food, seeds, farming, and community. There was a call for scholarship for small scale drink related businesses and I could get in.
I visited Slow Food's bi annual event in 2014 and ever since I have been wanting to attend it again or even part of the movement. And somehow dream comes true! I am so happy to see good old photos ☺️
For me, the most exciting part is not only listening to talks and sampling but meeting people, building connections, and finding new inspiration for my own projects. I will take along some of my products such as the last three bottles of Shiso Syrup and Furikake.

9月末にアメリカで開催される Terra Madre Americas に参加します。食、種、農業、コミュニティに深く関わる人々が集まるイベントで、小規模な飲み物関連のビジネスを対象とした奨学金の公募があり、私も採用されたのです ☺️
2014年にイタリアのトリノで偶数年に開催されているスローフードのイベントを訪れたことがあり、それ以来、また参加したいなあと思っていたのでした。そんな夢が今回意外な場所と形でかなうことになってうれしいです。当時の写真を見返すとなんとも懐かしいです。
講演を聞いたり試食したりするのももちろん楽しみですが、人と出会い、つながりを築き、自分のプロジェクトへの新しいインスピレーションを得るのを期待している気がします。去年作った最後の3本の紫蘇シロップやふりかけなど、自分のプロダクトも少し持っていく予定です。
