I cut the parts I want to turn into gif of the video into a small .mp4 file... Then I convert the file to GIF via this link: https://ezgif.com/video-to-gif (EZGif)
I also use the same website to further optimize the gif to have a smaller size, but that requires multiple tries to get the best size/quality compromise.
