(ESP/ENG) CHOP SUEY CASERO ⛩️ // HOMEMADE CHOP SUEY ⛩️

in Foodies Bee Hive17 hours ago

Mezclamdo nuevamente y dejando cocinar a fuego medio.

Hello, foodie friends! Have a wonderful evening, everyone. I hope you’re all doing great and enjoying good health and well-being. As you know, I love getting creative in the kitchen—I always try to make the most of whatever ingredients I have at home.

This recipe I’m sharing with you today came about because I wanted to use up a head of cabbage and a carrot that had been sitting in the fridge for several days; I decided to make an improvised chop suey with whatever I had on hand.

To make this chop suey, I used cabbage, carrots, smoked pork chops, onion, soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt, and, of course, cornstarch.

Preparation:

The first thing I did was chop the smoked pork chop into small pieces and then cook it in a skillet; once cooked, I removed it from the pan.

In that same skillet, sauté the garlic and onion until they turn golden brown.

Immediately add the pork chop to the onion and continue sautéing so that the flavors of both ingredients blend together.

We add the cabbage and carrot, mix everything together well, then add the sauce (water + cornstarch + soy sauce + oyster sauce). We stir again and let it cook over medium heat.

Once the liquid has reduced and a sauce has formed, remove from the heat; it’s now ready to enjoy.

I served it with some lumpias, and it turned out to be a delicious dish...

There are always ways to make the most of the food we have at home by creating delicious dishes that warm the heart...

Hugs to everyone...
