This is Clark! If you guys still remember from my last Hive story, I mentioned him—he’s actually my uncle, but the funny thing is he’s younger than me. HAHAHAH He’s the son of my grandma’s sister, so technically my uncle, but more like a younger cousin to me. In this photo, he was really feeling the moment because we were on our way to visit our cousin Hannah. Since he doesn’t have a phone to take his own pictures, I decided to capture some shots of him instead. He even told me that my camera takes really nice photos, which made me laugh, so I grabbed the opportunity to snap a few while the wind was blowing so strongly. We were sitting at the back of a Hilux, enjoying the ride, and that’s when I caught this candid shot. Sometimes, the best pictures are taken when you least expect them!
With us on this trip are Johnrey and Jazmin, who we often call “Min Min.” HAHAHAHHA In this moment, Johnrey couldn’t stop laughing at Clark’s reaction because Clark was really feeling the moment as if he was in a photo shoot. When I told both of them to smile for the camera, instead of smiling normally, Johnrey just burst out laughing at Clark’s serious pose. Hahaha! If you’ve been following my Hive stories, I’m sure you already know Johnrey and Jazmin, since I’ve shared a bit of their lives in my previous post. And yes, we’re together again on this little trip because we were heading over to visit our cousin. I just love moments like these—simple, funny, and filled with genuine laughter. It’s always nice to capture memories with people who know how to enjoy even the silliest things while we’re all together.
When they finally saw the photo, the laughter was uncontrollable! HAHHAHAH Especially Jazmin—this was already the third time she realized that Clark wasn’t even in the picture. She laughed so hard that she bent down, and I couldn’t even capture her face anymore because she just kept laughing nonstop. In the photo, all you can really see is her hand since she was covering her face while leaning down from laughing so much. And then there’s Johnrey—he couldn’t help himself either. He ended up covering his mouth with his right hand because his laughter was just too strong to hold back. Honestly, moments like these are the best, because you don’t even need to stage anything. The joy just comes out naturally, and the pictures become so much more memorable. Even if the photo didn’t go as planned, it turned into a memory that will always make us laugh again whenever we look back at it.
In this shot, Johnrey finally managed to give a proper smile, looking a bit more composed compared to earlier. Jazmin, on the other hand, was still laughing but tried her best to smile for the picture. You can still see her left hand covering her mouth, trying to hide her laughter. Honestly, who wouldn’t laugh at that moment? HAHAHAH By that time, Clark already realized that he wasn’t in the picture again! Hahaha! The thing is, he really couldn’t fit in because I was using portrait mode, and since the car was moving, I couldn’t get the angle right. Sometimes I even felt like I was about to slip from where I was sitting! But Clark just laughed it off—like he already accepted that he wasn’t part of the frame. It’s funny how instead of getting annoyed, he just made it a joke, and that made the moment even more memorable.
And now, I wasn’t able to capture every single detail on camera, but finally, we arrived at our cousin’s house. She really prepared something special for us—Korean noodles, kimchi, fish balls, and tofu! To my surprise, some of my friends were also there: Daryl, Justine, KJ, Khent, and Mark. The place instantly became more lively and fun with everyone gathered together. My other cousin, Eli (Hannah’s brother), was also there, so it felt like a small reunion. We all enjoyed the food she prepared because, honestly, my cousin is a huge fan of Korean dishes—and now, because of her, we’re also becoming a little addicted to them too. HAHAHA It was one of those simple but meaningful gatherings where laughter, food, and good company all came together. Sometimes, the best memories aren’t from big events but from moments like these, where you’re surrounded by family and friends sharing food and laughter.
Of course, would I let myself be left out? HAHAHA This is what I chose, guys—I put everything together in one bowl: noodles, kimchi, fish balls, and tofu. Hahaha! Since it’s also my favorite, I couldn’t resist. Ever since the first time Hannah cooked this for me, I instantly loved it. I didn’t find the taste strange at all; in fact, I became a fan right away. The only thing I didn’t like at first was the kimchi—its taste felt too strong for me. But as time went by, I started craving it more and more. Funny how something you once didn’t like eventually becomes something you look for, right? Hahaha! Even now, just remembering it makes me hungry again. Food really has a way of bringing people together, and moments like this remind me how blessed I am to share laughter, family, and good meals at the same time.
