So after all the processed food and canned goods we had in the past days, we're back again to having a much healthier meal. This time it's a combination of fish and green leafy vegetables. A fresh one, and luckily I found some sweet potato leaves in the market. We walk around the market to look for it, and only one stall has it, so I couldn't find one immediately. Usually there are a lot of stalls that sell this vegetable. Another thing, there's not much available fish in the wet for some reason; we don't know why. ┐( ̄ヘ ̄)┌

Luckily there's a "pulahan" available, it is that fish with reddish skin, and we actually had no choice but to buy this. Rather than eat chicken meat again we just grab this fish to cook some soupy dish. By the way, I call this fish pulahan because of the color of the skin but really, I had no idea what kind fish it is. But one things for sure this kind of fish is really good, it is really just expensive. They usually ranges in prices from 260 to 300 pesos per kilo.

What i'll be making is actually just a simple dish and with a few ingredients. Here's the sweet potato leaves that I already picked on it's stems. I Soaked it for a minute in a qater with salt. This one is one healthier leaves this is really good for Sinigang or any Sinabawan. Boiling it is good too, I used calamansi with salt to dip it.

Si anyways, here's the dish after boiling it for 20 minutes. We run out of onions so we only have garlic, I used salt and some seasoning and two cups of water. Just that and even with just that, it still taste really really good.

After cooking our lunch, I visit Mama's kitchen to check her viand and even her has having a healthy dish for lunch. Well, it has sardines but she mix sweet potato leaves in it. And that leaves is homegrown, mind you which make it fresher and sweeter. It's been a long time since I last had this kind of dish. We cook this too in our kitchen, I like the spicy sardines though.

And while i'm at mother's house, I didn't miss the chance to also check the yard. I also pick a Malunggay flowers, there's a lot of them that I pick a lot. I just really want to take a photo of them.

And there's actually a new plant growing in the yard. It has this tiny cute flowers, Mama said that this one has health benefits too. And nope, she didn't plant this, it just grow on its own. Maybe some bird drop a seed of this or whatever. Or does it have a seed? Or maybe they brought a young seedlings and drop it here (≧▽≦).
Anyways, what dish did you prepare today?
