Crispy Mushrooms with Black Pepper Sauce

Hi bloggers and food lovers, how are you all doing? Happy weekend! Today I’m making a lunch dish that’s perfect with warm rice, using ingredients that are easy to find. Okay, let’s get right to it

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams oyster mushrooms
  • 2 eggs
  • 300 grams all-purpose flour
  • 100 grams rice flour
  • black pepper
  • salt
  • garlic powder
  • cooking oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sweet soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp ground black pepper
  • 100 ml water
  • 50 ml cornstarch slurry

Instructions:

  • Remove the stems from the mushrooms, then tear the mushrooms into small pieces

  • Rinse under running water and pour hot water over them

  • Drain the mushrooms and squeeze out the excess water

  • Add garlic powder and ground pepper on top

  • Crack the egg and add it to the bowl

  • Stir until well combined

  • Prepare a mixture of all-purpose flour and rice flour then add garlic powder

  • Stir the flour mixture until well combined

  • Place the mushrooms in the flour

  • Coat until all surfaces of the mushrooms are evenly coated

  • Place the mushrooms in the preheated oil

  • Cook until the mushrooms are cooked through and browned

  • Remove and drain

  • For the black pepper sauce, place the minced garlic in a bowl

  • Add oyster sauce, sweet soy sauce, and soy sauce to the bowl

  • Add black pepper to the bowl

  • Add water and stir until well combined

  • Pour the sauce mixture into a pan and add a little more water

  • Cook until the sauce comes to a boil

  • Add the cornstarch slurry, then stir until the sauce thickens

  • Add the fried mushrooms

  • Toss until the mushrooms are coated with the black pepper sauce

  • Serve on a plate

  • Crispy mushrooms with black pepper sauce are ready to eat

Why, this kook seriously delicious! Mushrooms is like an unknown thing to our family but I love it as pizza toppings or in carbonara. Ahhh, its been a while. Seeing this made me remember that I actually eat ir. Lol. Sadly, I can only wat the cannes mushrooms. This looks so fresh too. Its hard to find fresh mushrooms in the market 🫠🤤✨🌼
