Last Sunday, I took advantage of my free time to relax and enjoy the outdoors with my husband. We went out of town and returned from our trip very late in the afternoon, so we decided to break our fast outside. One of the restaurants that was very cool with an outdoor theme was The Green Garden. This place is located in Lhokseumawe, precisely on Banda Sakti Street in Lhokseumawe City.
Actually, I had visited this place before and reviewed it, but that was the second branch. However, that location is now closed, so The Green Garden in Lhokseumawe is the only one left. My husband and I decided to eat here because he missed the food here. He always talked about the delicious dishes here because he had enjoyed them many times with his friends. As a result, he recommended breaking the fast with me at this place.
One of the main dishes we ordered was the Green Garden's special tom yum, butter chicken, two servings of white rice, hot drinks, orange juice, and carrot juice.
The food and drinks arrived just in time before breaking the fast, and all the dishes were served quickly. The service here is excellent, friendly, and attentive. Before breaking the fast, the waiter also checked our order to make sure everything was complete. I really liked my first impression of this place, and what's most appealing is that the prices are very affordable for everyone. In my opinion, this place and the type of food are perfect for families.
One of the main dishes, tomyam, is my husband's favorite. He says that whenever he stops by here, he always orders this. According to him, this tomyam dish is very special. The price per portion is IDR 38,000, and it has a lot of ingredients, including various seafood, vegetables, mushrooms, and even meat.
It tastes sour, savory, and slightly sweet, but what surprised me was that the tom yum here uses finely chopped kecombran flowers. I could taste the flowers quite strongly, but they didn't overpower the main flavor of the tom yum. I have never tasted authentic tom yum, but I think this restaurant's version is delicious, and the portion is enough for my husband and I to enjoy together.
The butter sauce chicken is also very delicious and is my favorite. I really like the sweet, savory, and slightly sour taste; it's the perfect dish. The sauce has a hint of chili sauce and oyster sauce. The chicken pieces are small and fried, but after being cooked with the spices, they absorb the flavors and taste delicious.
The price for a portion of butter sauce chicken is only IDR 25,000, and the portion is quite generous and more than enough for my husband and me to enjoy together. We are happy that even during the fasting month, the taste of the dishes remains consistent, and most importantly, they are served hot, which is perfect, isn't it?
After breaking the fast, everything was served on one plate, and I enjoyed it. Everything was delicious; I can't lie, the soup was really good, and when combined with rice, it became even more delicious. The tom yum had plenty of filling, and my husband smiled happily as he enjoyed it; he was happy that the taste was consistent.
While sipping the fresh juice we ordered, everything was so delicious. Our first iftar outside after marriage went smoothly. Although it wasn’t planned, everything felt so warm and happy.
During Ramadhan, I tried to cook, but when I went out to enjoy a meal like this, I felt like I wanted to go out to eat again tomorrow and leave the kitchen during Ramadhan. Heheh, my husband smiled, saying that won’t happen because the kitchen is my hobby, and I’ll definitely be back there. Warm regards from me.
