One menu from my mother-in-law After she passed away, I was the one who gave food to my family instead.

Hello, my lovely friends! Learning isn't just confined to the classroom; it's also essential in real life. I'm a Thai woman who's married to a Chinese family, so I've learned a lot about cooking from my mother-in-law. Before, I wasn't very interested, but I've secretly learned a few things. There are many dishes I still don't know how to make because I only watched and observed the cooking process without ever asking about the proportions of the ingredients. It's such a shame, because we never know when time will take away the people we love. This has been a really good life lesson for me: procrastination is something you shouldn't do because once it's done, you can't turn back time. Today, I'm thinking about a dish my mother-in-law used to make for me. Today, I'm going to try making it. It's a simple Chinese dish with easy-to-find ingredients. I don't even know what it's called, I only know how many ingredients it has. Let's learn how to make it together, my friends!

Our first ingredient is fried tofu, which is incredibly delicious if prepared correctly! Haha, it's not difficult at all because everything is already cooked and packaged; we just add it to our dish as the final step. Cut the fried tofu in half and place it on a plate.

Choose pork belly with minimal fat, cut it into long, bite-sized pieces, and set aside on a plate.

Canned peanuts, which I must say are the star of the show, the highlight of this meal. The sauce inside the can is already seasoned and very flavorful, along with perfectly cooked peanuts.

I use an earthenware pot, heat it until it's warm, then fry the pork belly until it's browned and fragrant. Alternatively, you can add a little oil, and once the pork is slightly cooked, add the crushed garlic and stir-fry; this will give it a golden, fragrant color.

The next step, after our pork is cooked through, is to pour in the canned peanuts along with the water and stir for a while. This will soften the peanuts and allow the garlic to cook until tender.

Once the soybeans have simmered to a good consistency, the liquid in the pot may have reduced, so add enough water to cover the tofu, which you will add last. Since canned soybeans are already quite flavorful, add only a pinch of salt and no other seasonings are needed; the mild taste is suitable for both children and adults. Add the tofu last and simmer for a while until it softens and absorbs the broth well. Then turn off the heat and serve. So, what do you think, friends? It's a simple dish with easy cooking steps. Try studying and making it yourself! Thank you for reading my article today, and see you again in the next one. Bye everyone!
