2️⃣ What type of food do you prefer? Are you on the 'healthy team' or do you prefer junk food? Or do you simply maintain a good balance between the two?
My last vacation was very recent, it was last month itself and I have been already writing about it. Some of you already know about it. My last vacation was in April to Turkey. It was a family holiday after around 3 years, so we were all very super excited. The holidays went very well and we had a wonderful time. Turkey is a beautiful country with loads of wonders to see. I already had a long list of places to visit in this country, and I could manage to do all of them. The cities that I visited were Istanbul, Cappadocia, Bursa, Antalya and Pamukkale, these were always on my list. The fairy chimneys and the underground cave dwellings of Cappadocia and the travertines of Pamukkale formed over thousands of years, Duden waterfall of Antalya, the Hagia Sophia Mosque, the Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, the Palaces of Istanbul , these are some of the magnificent sites to visit. I have loads of stories about the holidays, which I am gradually sharing.
Besides all the new places and sights that I visited here, what I enjoyed most is the food also. The Turkish food is majorly all different types of Kebabs, all freshly prepared and served. What I like about their cuisine is it's all fresh and not junk food. The language is not much of a challenge because most of the local people do speak English as well. It is a expensive place, especially in the last few years where their inflation rate has been very high. But then it is still worth visiting once in a life time. The people here are very warm and friendly, never even once we faced any issue dealing with any local people, they were always willing to help. Overall it was a wonderful experience.
I will share a couple of our family pictures taken during the holidays. We had all been individually travelling, but together it was after a long break.

What type of food do I prefer?
I prefer simple home cooked meals, then that can be anything, veg or non-veg. I am 100% on the healthy team side, Junk food is a complete No for me. In our home, we never bring packed foods, nor canned juices even if they are labeled healthy and organic, no aeriated drinks and chips and all those stuff. Even the munching snacks that one normally buys from market I prepare at home with all healthy ingredients. Two meals in a week we eat out in a restaurant, but that does not include any of these KFC, Mc D, Subway, Pizza, burger those kind of stuff. I prefer to have normal meals in a restaurant, majorly Indian or Asian cuisine. So, our eating out also have to be with healthy options.
Though hubby loves KFC and he is allowed to have it once in 2 to 3 months. It's not like I never indulge in any unhealthy foods, but that frequency is very less. Once in 2 to 3 months. I do not stop myself, but I do not enjoy eating these foods and once in a way if I feel like eating then I do go ahead. But still certain things are completely off the list, like packed foods and juices and aerated drinks. There is no balance for me between the two, my choices are very clear. Whatever kind of junk I feel like eating I make it at home in a healthier version, so I am not really missing anything. It's only the effort that matters.
