Yes, beat an egg (or two, depending on how many bread slices you want), add a bit of salt, put the slice into the egg and then into hot oil until it gets the golden colour, and that's it. I used to make it when I had leftover bread from one or two days, but it is not good with fresh bread. You can put garlic on it, too. It is very similar to torrijas but without milk, in a salty version.
