Hello Hive Fam, most especially my ever-supportive Hive Friends all over the world! 👋🌍💖 I hope you’re all doing well and enjoying your day, wherever you may be. Today, I’m excited to share with you the simple yet heartwarming dish I cooked for both lunch and dinner, a Filipino classic that never fails to bring comfort, especially on a rainy Sunday.

For today’s meal, I prepared Pork Nilaga, a beloved dish in our Philippine kitchens. I used 200php(3.25USD) worth of pork meat, simmered gently until tender, then added potato, petchay (bok choy), corn, and sitaw (string beans). The combination of these ingredients created a flavorful broth that’s both nourishing and satisfying.

There’s something magical about Nilaga, the way the warm soup pairs perfectly with the cool, rainy weather. Each spoonful feels like a hug, reminding us of family gatherings and cozy meals at home. It’s simple, budget-friendly, and yet it carries so much tradition and comfort in every bite. Truly, this dish is proof that Filipino food is all about warmth and togetherness.

Cooking this today made me appreciate how food connects us not only to our culture but also to the people we share it with. Rainy days may feel gloomy, but with a bowl of Pork Nilaga, they turn into moments of joy and comfort. 🌧️🍲✨

Thank you, Hive Fam, for always being here to read and support my food stories. Until the next post, may your meals be hearty and your days filled with flavor! 🙏💕
