Hello everyone!
Sunday is always a food trip day for us. Today, my sister-in-law and I decided to make puto for our snack. It was actually my first time trying to make puto, so I was excited to see how my output would look. Haha!

My sister-in-law is already very good at making puto because she is really used to cooking it. She knows what to do and how to make it soft and delicious. Me, I was just trying my best and hoping that my puto would turn out okay. Haha!

And yes, I was happy with the result! My puto looked good and tasted delicious too. It was perfect for our family gathering. There is really something special when you prepare food together with family. Even if it is just a simple snack, the preparation itself becomes a bonding moment.

While we were eating, I also had a little realization about my husband's side of the family.
When there is a family gathering and everyone is together, it really feels like our family is complete. But I also remember the time when our mother-in-law was confined in the hospital. During that time, we really needed someone to assist her and process all the requirements, but unfortunately, no one was available to attend to everything.

It was a difficult time, but anyway, past is past. Hehe. We cannot change what already happened. What matters is that we are still here, enjoying the simple moments together and making new memories.
After eating our puto, we also enjoyed some fresh buko from our backyard garden. We have our own buko, and we even got some makapuno. It was really good to eat fresh coconut from our own backyard.

Of course, buko and puto are already a perfect combination. But you know what? Even if we already have fresh buko, somehow, Coke is still needed! Hahaha!
Sometimes, happiness can be found in very simple things homemade food, fresh fruits from the backyard.
It was just an ordinary Sunday food trip, but for me, these simple moments are the ones I want to remember.
