Aaaahhh, this is beautiful, and YES to local, raw honey especially!! I get mine from a beautiful organic grower called Piera, and usually I buy the biggest jar (with no label) of castagna, because it is like a liquid gold richness on the local bread with mountain butter...
I know that there are mystical properties too, having some knowledge of the Melissa, and the Sacred Feminine in our subtle work with bees, and I know that we all have individually a unique relationship with the bees of our area, which should be honoured and respected by every living woman and man! I adore seeing the 'chubby' bees thriving on borage, acacia, dandelion family, citrus fruit flowers and pine, around where I live - it is a small oasis in the valley, but a vital place of nourishment and security for the bees, in a heavily-mechanised land of growing for commercial ends.
All power to our bees!!!!
