Yesterday, our family enjoyed a delicious roscón de Reyes cake filled with caramel that we all loved. From the moment I put it on the table, you could feel the special atmosphere of the moment.
I love this tradition that originated in Spain because it has a very beautiful meaning. The roscón symbolizes unity and eternity, and for me that is very important. It is a value that I try to maintain in my family, and I see it when we are together, talking, laughing, reminiscing, and enjoying each other's company.
Ayer, disfrutamos en familia de un delicioso roscón de Reyes relleno de arequipe que nos encantó a todos. Desde que lo puse sobre la mesa, se sintió el ambiente especial del momento.
Me encanta esta tradición que tiene origen en España porque tiene un significado muy bonito. El roscón simboliza la unión y la eternidad, y para mí eso es muy importante, es un valor que procuro mantener en mi familia y lo veo cuando estamos juntos, conversando, riendo, recordando anécdotas y disfrutando de nuestra compañía.

The roscón I bought was made of sweet dough, with its characteristic doughnut shape. It was filled with caramel and raisins, a combination that was a real treat for the palate. It was topped with a sugar glaze that made it even more appetising and gave it a festive touch. Each slice was enjoyed slowly, savouring every bite and commenting on how delicious it was.
To accompany it, we prepared a creamy latte, perfect for the evening. The conversation flowed naturally, creating the warm and familiar atmosphere that I value so much. This is how we celebrated 7 January, bringing the Three Kings celebration to a close in a special, simple way that is very much our own. I am left with the joy of having shared, the satisfaction of keeping the tradition alive and the certainty that these small rituals strengthen family ties and fill the home with happy memories.
El roscón que compré era de masa dulce, con su forma de dona tan característica. Venía relleno de arequipe y pasas, una combinación que fue un verdadero gusto para el paladar. Por encima tenía una escarcha de azúcar que lo hacía aún más apetitoso y que le daba un toque festivo. Cada porción fue disfrutada con calma, saboreando cada bocado y comentando lo rico que estaba.
Para acompañarlo, preparamos un café con leche bien cremoso, perfecto para la noche. La charla fluyó de manera natural, creando el ambiente cálido y familiar que tanto valoro. Así celebramos este 7 de enero, cerrando la celebración de los Reyes Magos de una forma especial, sencilla y muy nuestra. Me quedo con la alegría de haber compartido, con la satisfacción de mantener viva la tradición y con la certeza de que estos pequeños rituales fortalecen los lazos familiares y llenan el hogar de recuerdos felices.
