Cheesy Tuna Penne Pasta

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!!
I've been wanting to cook "penne pasta" for so long, but I always forget to do so. Well, not anymore, this time, because I finally made it.

As I've mentioned in my food blogs, pasta is one of my daughter's favorite foods. May it be spaghetti, carbonara, lasagna, macaroni, and more for as long as it is pasta, she will be very delighted. Like this time when she saw me cooking penne pasta, it made her smile and excited. So, let's take a look at how I did it.

Cheesy Tuna Penne Pasta

INGREDIENTS:

  • San Remo Penne Pasta
  • Century Tuna
  • Mushroom
  • Grated Cheese
  • Butter
  • Evaporated Milk
  • Creamer
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Spring Onion
  • Salt
  • Ground Pepper
  • Broth from Boiled Pasta

PREPARATION:

Peel and wash the onion, and then cut it into small pieces.
Crush and peel garlic, then cut into small pieces.
Wash the spring onions, then thinly slice or cut them into small pieces.
Open all the canned ingredients and get ready for cooking.

COOKING TIME:

)
)

Boil some water in a pot or a cooker. Add a little canola oil and just a little salt, too. Once boiling, add the penne pasta. Stir from time to time until it is fully cooked and al dente. Remove the pasta and strain, then set aside.

)
)

Heat a pan on the stove and put some butter until it's melted. Then sauté garlic and onion until aromatic. Then add the mushrooms and sauté with the aromatics.

Then add the canned Century tuna and sauté them together for a few minutes.

)
)

Then add 1/2 cup of pasta broth or stock. (This is from the soup of the pasta that I cooked.) Bring them to a boil for a few minutes. Then add the evaporated milk and creamer.

)
)

Then season with ground pepper and salt to taste. I did not add any other seasoning because tuna already has a flavor. Continue cooking until the sauce reduces slightly and thickens. Then add some grated cheese. Stir to mix.

)
)

Then add the penne pasta. Toss and mix until well combined.

Then add the thinly sliced spring onions and mix them into the pasta. And finally sprinkle some grated cheese.

And there it is!

Here's our flavorful cheesy tuna penne pasta. My family loves it, especially my daughter @tegoshei.

Anyway, this dish is also one of the foods I prepared to celebrate "All Saints and All Souls Day," one of the Filipino traditions.

I also cooked some chicken adobo and a special dessert, a typical Filipino dish made from buko fruit (coconut). I'm going to share this dessert here, perhaps in my next blog.

I hope you like to eat penne pasta too, with just canned tuna in it.

I will surely cook another version of this dish with a different sauce and meat in the future and would gladly share it with you here again on Hive.

I'll end my post here, and I hope you like it.
Thank you so much for stopping by and for reading my post.
God bless...🙂🙏❤

Yummy pasta dish, iba talaga kapag lutong bahay. It looks so delicious and the procedure for cooking the dish is I think easy to follow, so maybe I will try it too. I also like pasta, I've tried this mushroom Carbonara during the Kadayawan festival, it tasted good too. I'd like to learn more pasta recipes from you. Thank you for sharing this nice pasta recipe.

I still have pasta at home, looks like I'll re-cook this dish. Thank you very much for the recipe.
