Hello hivers! I'm back again to share you our mini tour at our cornland. When I arrive at my hometown, after resting the whole day the next two days I went to my father's place and found his corn is good to eat.
The chickens are following me wherever I go. Hahaha. I don't know why but maybe they saw me for the first time and it's already 5 pm so maybe they are asking for food.
After entertaining the chickens, I went directly to the corn area. It was so tall and the crop was too big. One stem had two to three corn. It's surprising! Actually corns are not this tall when I was young. When I was six I already knew how to plant corn and other crops because my father always bring us with him at the farm. And my father said that corn has evolution of variety and they don't need to stuck to the past so they can compete the market value. It's easy to harvest green corn. You have to get the corn then break the stem. You have to break the stem because that's an indicator that it's already taken. Usually we have this green corn for vegetable soup or steamed corn or grilled one.
Then my husband and my father helped me harvesting these green corns so we can finished it fast since it's about to get dark. Along the picking, my husband says it was his first time getting green corns. He lived in the plain and he has the rice fields that's the reason why. And she thanked me for having this experience.
Then these are our harvest. Actually this is almost 50 pieces and I secure almost 20 pieces because we are going to bring it to my husband's house.
That's all for today hivers. Have you tried eating corn?
