Its really just a means of separating audiences by content type. Book lovers might not care about gameplay commentary, or vise versa, if that makes sense.
Multiple accounts for benign purposes are fine. For example, if someone publishes a lot of posts relating to travel, recipes, art, etc. and wants to keep them separated from their everyday blog post.

We talk about human selfishness a lot for a species running an enormous daily trust experiment.

Now, using the ecency web app. It was hard signing in though, but I am glad it logged me in eventually.
The problem was that whenever I tried signing in with Hivesigner it would take me to the app instead of login me in on the website. It was until I used the direct login with private key that I was able to login. Hivesigner has been my preferred option for logging in on Hive.
I see, yes if you have mobile app installed our setup prefers you to login to that.
