¡Hola, chicos! Espero que estén muy bien. Hoy, para mis amantes de la comida y la familia, les traigo un post referente a un almuerzo de celebración familiar. Este se realizó gracias a que una de las primas de mi novio se graduó después de cinco años de estudios y por su puesto que esto es un gran logro.
Hi, guys! I hope you are doing great. Today, for my food and family lovers, I bring you a post regarding a family celebration lunch. This one took place thanks to the fact that one of my boyfriend's cousins graduated after five years of studies and of course this is a great accomplishment.
Mi suegra quería compartir este momento especial con ellos preparándoles una comida especial. Por eso hicimos un arroz chino, o mejor dicho, un arroz con verduras venezolano, acompañado de tajadas y una crema de auyama con caldo de pollo y algunos trozos de pollo. Un detalle muy importante es que esta cremita llevaba unos crutones que le daban un sabor espectacular; realmente, la diferencia de sabor con los crutones era abismal.
My mother-in-law wanted to share this special moment with them by preparing a special meal. That is why we made a Chinese rice, or better said, a Venezuelan rice with vegetables, accompanied by slices and a cream of pumpkin with chicken broth and some pieces of chicken. A very important detail is that this cremita had some croutons that gave it a spectacular flavor; really, the difference in flavor with the croutons was abysmal.
Los crutones fueron lo primero que se acabó, porque estaban tan ricos que todos querían seguir añadiéndolos a sus cremas. Y es que la textura de la crema con algo crujiente es bastante atractiva, y eso que yo con las texturas soy un poco quisquillosa; sin embargo, incluso a mí me gustó.
The croutons were the first thing to go, because they were so delicious that everyone wanted to keep adding them to their creams. And the texture of the cream with something crunchy is quite appealing, and I'm a bit picky about textures; however, even I liked it.
Yo aproveché para llevarles unas galletas a cada uno para que las probaran, ya que es una reciente innovación para la venta, y porque quería darles un pequeño detalle y hacerlos sentir importantes.
I took the opportunity to take some cookies to each of them to try, since it is a recent innovation for sale, and because I wanted to give them a small detail and make them feel important.
Nosotros preparamos todo en casa y nos movilizamos hasta la casa de ellos para que se les hiciera más sencillo, ya que nosotros contamos con la posibilidad de movilizarnos de una forma más fácil. Ellos son súper sencillos y saben disfrutar de todos los momentos. Al ver que nosotros llegamos, inmediatamente intentaron buscarnos lugar para las cosas y ayudarnos a colocar la comida en lugares estratégicos a la hora de servirla.
We prepared everything at home and we moved to their house to make it easier for them, since we have the possibility to move in an easier way. They are very simple and know how to enjoy every moment. When they saw that we had arrived, they immediately tried to find a place for our things and helped us to place the food in strategic places when it was time to serve it.
Cuando llegamos, los manteles, las mesas y las sillas ya estaban listos, así que nosotros solamente tuvimos que ayudar a repartir la comida a cada quien y asegurarnos de que todos estuvieran sentados a la mesa para las palabras de agradecimiento.
When we arrived, the tablecloths, tables and chairs were already set up, so we just had to help pass out the food to everyone and make sure everyone was seated at the table for the thank you speeches.
La comida estaba riquísima, me encantó el arroz, las tajadas, la cremita de auyama y especialmente los crutones.

Nos quedamos un rato más conversando luego del almuerzo, incluso a la hora de la merienda puede presenciar como degustaban mis galletas, y me daban felicitaciones porque estaban bastante ricas. Esto cada vez me sube más la moral y me hace sentirme más segura de mi producto final. Al final nos fuimos muy contentos.
The food was delicious, I loved the rice, the slices, the cremita de auyama and especially the croutons. We stayed a while longer talking after lunch, even at snack time I could witness how they tasted my cookies, and they congratulated me because they were quite tasty. This gives me more and more morale and makes me feel more confident about my final product. In the end we left very happy.
