Last Sunday, my daughter and I decided to go for a walk together. So, that morning we put on some comfortable clothes and headed for the mountain that surrounds Bogotá, ready for a good hike. After nearly an hour of climbing and a good cardio workout, we ended up tired but happy that we’d done something for our health.
The fresh air, the view of the city, and our conversations on various topics made the outing feel like a much-needed break for both of us. And as a reward after our workout, we decided to visit Myka, a new ice cream shop we’d been eager to try because the last time we passed by, there was a long line to get in. So we were really curious.

El domingo pasado mi hija y yo decidimos salir a caminar juntas. Así que, esa mañana nos pusimos ropa cómoda y nos fuimos hacia la montaña que rodea Bogotá, listas para una buena caminata. Después de casi una hora de subida y buen cardio, terminamos cansadas, pero felices porque hicimos algo por nuestra salud.
El aire fresco, la vista de la ciudad y las conversaciones sobre diferentes temas hicieron que el plan se sintiera como un respiro necesario para las dos. Y como recompensa después del ejercicio, decidimos visitar Myka, una nueva heladería que teníamos ganas de conocer porque una vez que pasamos por ahí, había una larga fila para entrar. Así que teníamos mucha curiosidad.

I loved Myka’s concept from the very first moment: ice cream made with authentic Greek yogurt. It’s a unique ice cream—smooth, very creamy, and with a refreshing, delicious flavor. Plus, they have over twenty toppings to choose from, and honestly, picking just two for the medium size is almost impossible.
My daughter ordered a mix of acai and lavender, topped with chocolate crumble, fleur de sel, and coconut sauce. I chose a mix of yogurt and mango with ground walnuts and coconut sauce as well. Both seasonal flavors were spectacular. Of course, we ended up trying each other’s ice cream, and we both agreed: everything was delicious.
La propuesta de Myka me encantó desde el primer momento: helados elaborados con auténtico yogur griego. Es un helado diferente, suave, muy cremoso y con un toque refrescante delicioso al paladar. Además, tienen más de veinte toppings para escoger, y honestamente elegir solo dos para el tamaño mediano se vuelve una misión casi imposible.
Mi hija pidió un mixto de açaí con lavanda, acompañado de crumble de chocolate con flor de sal y salsa de coco. Yo elegí un mixto de yogurt y mango con nueces de castilla molidas y también salsa de coco. Los dos sabores de temporada estaban espectaculares. Obviamente terminamos probando el helado de la otra y coincidimos en lo mismo: todo estaba delicioso.

We were thrilled to learn that their ice cream is artisanal, additive-free, and made with fresh, natural ingredients. It’s a real treat for the taste buds, and we’ll definitely be coming back to discover more flavors and combinations.
Nos encantó saber que son helados artesanales, sin aditivos y preparados con ingredientes frescos y naturales. Una verdadera fiesta para el paladar y, sin duda, un lugar al que queremos volver para seguir descubriendo nuevos sabores y combinaciones.
