Walking Weekday in Sedayu City

What do you do on weekends like this?

I will of course visit a new place that is easy to reach by public transportation. I really like exploring Jakarta, new and unique places by public transportation, especially Transjakarta. As a single person who doesn't have a private vehicle, public transportation is always my mainstay. Well, I'm starting to get addicted to exploring new places, like Sedayu City, a new China Town style place in the Kelapa Gading area, North Jakarta.

To reach China Town, I had to transit several times, namely by Transjakarta then by LRT to Mall Kelapa Gading. Not far from there, I continued my journey by online taxi to Sedayu City. It's a journey full of struggle. When he arrived there, this small town was already filled with visitors. But it's okay, I've prepared myself for this crowd. I enjoyed the atmosphere of China Town solemnly.

When you arrive in a new place, it feels incomplete if you don't enjoy the culinary delights there. All the culinary delights there are identical to Chinese cuisine. That's why I have to be really selective because there will be menus that I'm not allowed to eat, such as processed pork and related things. So I tried to be safe by stopping at Quinn Kitchen, which is a typical Thai restaurant.

The menus are so appetizing...

Finally I decided to order Somtam...

I once ordered Somtam at another Thai restaurant, and that made me even more confident to order it because I already knew that Somtam is a salad of sliced ​​young papaya. Apart from the papaya slices which are similar to vermicelli, Somtam is rich in fillings, such as cucumber, meat, celery, vermicelli and noodles. The soup is very fresh. Have you ever tasted it?
