If you have cooked chickpeas and want to prepare them in a different way, eat them one after another as if they were popcorn. Or perhaps you want to surprise a guest or tempt children to eat this superfood. This simple and practical recipe is undoubtedly a nutritious and tasty option.

If you already have cooked chickpeas, the rest is very quick to make and you'll need very few ingredients. Let's get started 😉

Si tienes garbanzos cocidos y quieres prepararlos de una manera diferente, ir comiendo uno tras otro como si fuesen palomitas de maíz. O si quizás quieres sorprender a algún invitado o tentar a los niños a consumir este superalimento. Esta receta sencilla y práctica es sin duda una opción nutritiva y sabrosa.

Si ya tienes los garbanzos cocidos, lo demás se hace muy rápido y necesitaras muy pocos ingredientes. Vamos a la preparación 😉



Ingredients // Ingredientes:

  • As many cooked chickpeas as you like.
  • Enough olive oil to coat the chickpeas, just a little bit.
  • Powdered seasonings and salt to taste. I used cumin, pepper, and oregano.
  • La cantidad de garbanzos cocidos que desees.
  • Cantidad de aceite de oliva suficiente para impregnar los garbanzos, es solo un poquito.
  • Condimentos en polvo y sal al gusto. Yo usé comino, pimienta y orégano.

Preparation // Preparación:

This preparation is very simple. The chickpeas must be drained and free of excess water. If they are very wet, you can pat them dry with a little paper towel.

Add a dash of oil and mix so that all the chickpeas are coated with oil and the seasonings will stick to them.

Add the seasonings and mix well. I did this by hand. Transfer to a tray, spreading them out so that each chickpea is in contact with the tray. In my case, it was very easy because I prepared a small amount of chickpeas, but if you are preparing a larger amount, it is best to do it little by little, depending on the size of the tray.

Esta preparación es muy sencilla. Se requiere que los garbanzos estén escurridos y sin exceso de agua, si están muy húmedos se les puede pasar un poco de papel absorbente.

Se les agrega un chorrito de aceite y se mezcla para que todos los granos de garbanzos queden grasosos y de esta manera los condimentos se adhieran a ellos.

Se les agregan los condimentos y se mezclan bien, yo lo hice con la mano directamente. Se llevan a una bandeja de manera que queden bien esparcidos en la misma y que cada grano tenga contacto con la bandeja. En mi caso fue muy fácil porque preparé poca cantidad de garbanzos pero si vas a preparar mayor cantidad es mejor hacerlo poco a poco, dependiendo del tamaño de la bandeja.

With the oven preheated to about 175°C, I baked for about 20 minutes, moving the tray every so often so that the baking was more or less uniform.

Con el horno precalentado a unos 175°C horneé por unos 20 minutos moviendo la bandeja cada cierto tiempo para que se la cocción fuese más o menos uniforme.

Add your favorite seasonings and create the most delicious flavors. Serve them for a snack, with tea or coffee... Whenever you want!

Agrégales los condimentos de tu preferencia y crea los sabores más deliciosos. Sírvelos en la merienda, en la hora del té o del café... Cuando quieras!!
