The weather has been unstable in the Philippines over the past few days. It rains on and off, so when the temperature increases, the humidity follows. It's uncomfortable, but it can't be helped.
Almost every morning, my father goes to the nearby market to buy some ingredients for our meals, which my mom would cook. It's been a while since I've gone on a walk, because I've been busy with work and have been feeling tired, so I just wanted to catch up on sleep every time. However, my body has been looking for some exercise apart from the usual stationary bicycle.
I set my alarm an hour and a half earlier than usual and tagged along with my father for some bread and fruit shopping. haha
Although it was not raining when we went out, you could still see some remnants of the rain from the night before. The atmosphere was also a bit gloomy. I think it's also because the sun barely rose at that time.
This family-owned bakeshop just opened last month, and we have bought bread there a couple of times. Their bread is delicious. It's not too sweet, so it's easy to eat. I also like the fact that they have a bunch of nostalgic choices. I'll show you some photos I took from the bakeshop.
The ones on the top shelves are bland or a bit of salted bread. They're usual breakfast bread and are perfect for coffee. That's mainly the reason why there are a few of them left, even though it was still a little over six in the morning when we got there.
The ones below are sweet bread. I like having them with black coffee. They're also good for snacks. The ube-flavored ones (violet ones) are my favorites.
Some of the bread they sell are nostalgic for me as I used to eat them when I was very young. They're fluffy and tasty. They might look sweet, but they're not as sweet as they look, which made it even better.
This is the view from the bakeshop. Other establishments and stores are still closed since it was pretty early. Most of them open around eight or nine in the morning. :)
Now, we're on our way to get some fruits from the fruit stands over there. Can you see them? It's the ones with umbrellas in the distance. :)
They got a bunch of delicious-looking fruits to choose from. We only bought bananas and apples for now, but I'd like to have some mango and avocado... and yellow watermelon! haha
The prices are still reasonable, though they were much cheaper in the past. Well, everything is increasing, except our salary. T_T
The sun was already up when we arrived home. Although sleepy, I got the chance to go for a walk, so I'm happy. I should do this once in a while... :)
That's it for now. My student is absent, so I used this chance to create a post, so I'll watch some anime later during my break time. hahah See you around! (^^,)/
