To be honest, no one in my family really likes farm chicken, we usually prefer to cook and eat free-range (deshi) chicken.Farm chicken tends to have a bit of an odor when cooked, which can make eating it a little unpleasant. That’s why I always try to cook it in a way that removes any unwanted smell. And the way I prepare it makes the dish really tasty too.
But sometimes, my son enjoys eating farm-raised chicken because the meat is quite tender. Since he’s still young, he prefers dishes made with soft farm chicken. Personally, I don’t really like it but occasionally, I do feel like having some.So today at lunch, I decided to cook farm chicken. A few days ago, my husband had brought some from the market, so I took it out of the freezer and tried cooking it today.
One thing I always make sure of is to cook farm raised chicken in a delicious way. First, I try to fry the chicken pieces with salt and turmeric. This helps remove the raw smell from the meat.I also make sure to cook the chicken thoroughly by sautéing (browning) it well with the spices. Since this type of chicken needs to be cooked at a higher temperature, I take extra time to sauté it properly. That way, the meat becomes well cooked, tender, and tastes great too.
