I'm so happy to share with you today how I made a 1kg chocolate cake. This time it was a custom order; they loved the cake they'd tasted from the tray and wanted me to make the same cake, but bigger. What I really appreciated about this person was the positive review. They loved the flavor and how fluffy the cake was. I'm going to show you how I made this cake, so stick around to follow along and see the final result.

Ingredientes/Ingredients

- Harina de trigo de 900 gramos
- 700 gramos de azúcar
- 5 huevos
- 500 ml de leche
- 150 gramos de cacao en polvo
- 40 gramos de Maicena
- 500 gramos de mantequilla
- Una cucharada de vainilla
- Una cucharada de polvo de hornear
- Chispas de chocolate
- 900 grams of wheat flour
- 700 grams of sugar
- 5 eggs
- 500 ml of milk
- 150 grams of cocoa powder
- 40 grams of cornstarch
- 500 grams of butter
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
- Chocolate chips
Preparación/Preparation

Paso 1
Step 1
I started preparing this cake last night because the person wanted it early this morning, so I made it last night because the cake does need time to bake. In a bowl, I added the butter and sugar to make the first mixture, and I stirred it until it became soft and fluffy.

Paso 2
Step 2
Once the mixture looked fluffy, I added the eggs and vanilla, and continued mixing until everything was well combined.

Paso 3
Step 3
Then in a separate container I added the flour, the tablespoon of baking powder and 100 grams of cocoa, then I passed all of that through a sieve, so that it would not form lumps, and I was stirring everything and as I gradually added the milk until all the ingredients were integrated.

Paso 4
Step 4
Once the mixture was ready, I poured it into a one-kilo cake pan and baked it at a moderate temperature for about 45 minutes. After that time, I let it cool completely and then stored it away until I was ready to decorate.

Paso 5
Step 5
Since the cake is going in today, I started preparing the chocolate mixture for the filling and frosting. For that, I used one cup of sugar, the remaining sugar, half a liter of milk, 50 grams of cocoa powder, and 40 grams of cornstarch. I put all of that in a saucepan and cooked it over low heat until it became a thick, smooth mixture.

Paso 6
Step 6
By the time I had to add the filling and frosting, I had to cut the cake in half to add the filling. I didn't take a picture of this part because my hands were busy. After that, I put the other half of the cake on and added the frosting and chocolate chips.
