I still have the original #Chromecast, but don't use it much. We do have an old dumb TV that it made smarter. Too many gadgets lose support and become useless and Google have done that many times.

You have to keep buying new stuff or they won't make any profit 😉
That's also the reason why things are less durable than they used to be (if you ask me).
Technology moves much faster now. I've just posted about my new PC, but I made the old one last a while.
