2/ Then I leave it in earn, if it goes up considerably I sell it for USDT and if I'm not mistaken there's earn for it too, the hive goes down in price, I buy it back in hive and leave it in earn, so by making these exchanges I'm increasing my amount of hive there.

that's exactly what I think, it's always good to diversify and not to mention that the idea is to leave it there and try to make trades when the price of the hive goes up, so I can "increase" the number of Hive in the buyback and then send it back here.
