It is only when we feel something in our body that we start to take care of it no? Like, why didn't do it from the very start? Charrrr, hahaha. That's actually me and I am not proud of it. I hate that I had to do things that can save me more money coz well, i'm not rich and also for practicality. But you know, its not like I always eat unhealthy foods.

I eat vegetables in fact, but I think the way I seasoned it is the problem, it becomes more too salty coz well, I ate it with rice and a lil bit salty dish is so much better to pair with rice ಥ‿ಥ. If its not well seasoned, I feel like my food is too dull. Yes, yes, I have to change this habit. As I experience high blood pressure now, that's the right course I had to take.
And so, I made a soupy dish, with fish and squash as main ingredients. Its a simple dish but I think pack with nutrients. Its a simple dish without much seasonings and just a lil bit of MSG. I even put Malunggay in it coz green is awesome.

So, me and mama bought this squash to some house while going home from the market. That's where we bought some sweet potato last year. Mama got 3 small squash, 5 each only so 15 for 3. Really cheap no? But yk, squash is 60 pesos per kilo in the market, lol. And so we got lucky with this find. As for the price of this big squash, It's 20 pesos only, I think it us more than 1 kilo coz its really heavy

It is so big that I had to cut it into half. We uses the other half into making something, i'll share that some other time.

I cut the squash into bite size, just lioe what you can see on the photo. That's the right size for us and I really don't like it when it us cut into small pieces, so a lil bigger it is.

So here are the ingredients, we have hwre the onion, garlic, ginger, leftover fried fish, the squash and the malunggay. For the seasoning, we only used salt and msg, then water of course. I should be using rice water here but we cook this first before rice, so, can't do anything about it.

So here's everything!

Now, its time to cook. Actually, I didn't sautee anything here coz one thing we're avoiding is too much oily food -yep, i'm using fried fish, but I think the oil it has is just right? Hahaha. Maybe. Lol. In a pan, I put the fish, onion, garlic, ginger, msg, salt, and water. We'll cook it as is and without any ek ek, lol

We'll just boil it -at this point Mommy D decides to help haha. Dunno, maybe she wants to make it extra masarap lol. I didn't complain though. But it'll be awesome if she also volunteer during the peeling and cutting of everything ಥ‿ಥ lolol

After 2 minutes we then put the squash, but without removing the fried fish. We let them boil there together.

After 10 minutes or when the squash finally soften, we'll put the greens or the Malunggay and that's the final ingredients. Mommy D check its taste or if still need more salt, but it's already enough

After one more minute, we turn the heat off and there have it, our healthy squash with leftover fish and some Malunggay. Healthy and with the touch of Mommy D's hand. Our lunch is ready \(^o^)/
