Hello Foodies! Welcome to my Blog, another happy day to everyone. Today I will be making a homemade snack made from bananas from my mom's farm hehehe.
You know because there are many crops here on the farm. What is the plant, the fun here we don't buy it, it's just that my mom is really the one who is hardworking in farming. This is really the only memory left by papa that their crops were still alive then. It's been a few years since it was planted and now it's bearing fruit, when I remember I was only 2 years old.
To start, let's peel the banana skin. I'll put it in a bowl. I'll cook two types: Maruya and Plain fried banana.
I divided all the peeled bananas into two types that I will cook. In Maruya, I placed them on a plate and cut them into fan-like designs. And I prepared a coating for it, just flour and food coloring. I didn't add sugar because bananas have a natural sweetness. In the pan, I heated oil, we use wood for cooking so sorry if you see a dirty kitchen. This is how we grew up cooking because we save money here especially since there is a lot of wood around for firewood.
And with the heat of the oil, let's drown the banana coated on some flour. Let's wait for one side to cook and turn it to one side. Wait a few minutes, when golden brown it can be taken and put in the container. Even though I can cook a few pieces, my children want to eat, but I told them to just wait for a while because it's still hot so they might get burned.
This is the Maruya
Plain Fried Banana
And next is the plain fried banana, it's easy to cook and this is what my son and I love. It tastes great because the banana is ripe and really sweet, no added sugar. It's simple, just dip it in hot oil, cook both sides, you really need to watch it because it burns easily. When it's golden brown, just serve it and let it cool to eat. I really cooked lots, this is what I eat on lunch because sometimes I'm tired of eating rice. My mouth is always looking for this kind of food hehehe. I keep the food for my husband, my first born and my mom, because they're not here.
Sharing with you my simple snack. Let's have a bite? 😊😊😊
The ones I cooked earlier have cooled down so the kids are ready to eat them. Hehehe, let's eat? Simple snack but filling. Ok that's all for today everyone. See yah! on my next blog. Bye!
