Greetings Hivers 🎬

A few days ago the Cuban film world was shaken by the Film Festival, and I thought it was a good idea to take a walk along 23rd and 12th Street, where the headquarters of this great event are located. They placed screens along the street, and those cameras that are always there, that I have seen so many times, suddenly seemed to come to life. It felt as if they were remembering the thousands of meters of film that once ran through their insides, forever marked by the images that have entertained us for so many years.

So today I want to pay a small tribute to these metal beasts, machines with gears as precise and complex as a clock, whose only purpose has been to gift us stories, emotions, and memories that remain alive in our collective memory, even when they no longer turn as they once did.

Because beyond technology, beyond modern digital cameras, streaming platforms, and everything new that surrounds us, these relics remain silent witnesses of an art form that was born with them and still beats strongly in the hearts of every cinema lover.

Thank you for joining me on this small visual journey through nostalgia, memory, and the magic of cinema. We will keep meeting, always with a camera close by, whether to photograph or to dream.

Saludos Hivers 🎬
