You may remember the video of McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski sitting down to eat one of the company’s own burgers.
This may have just been a bit of simple marketing because it backfired as the viewing public latched onto the fact that he just didn't seem into eating that burger!
It was more like a 'contractual nibble' rather than an authentic glusto-eat!
Burger King of course couldn’t resist - you could almost hear them snicker as they reposted a video of their own CEO chomping down a Whopper with some actual enthusiasm. Their point wasn’t subtle: “At least our boss enjoys our food.”

But does anyone care....?
I mean ideally you'd have a CEO who genuinely liked the food they were head-of, this certainly ads a sense of authenticity to the brand.
However TBH who cares, surely it's more important to have a CEO who is competent at running a company, some of them are not going to like McDds all that much, and imagine that was a criteria for getting the job, you're certainly limiting the pool!
