🦉 The Eurasian tree sparrow (Passer montanus)
- Passer (lat.) sparrow
- montanus lat .: mōns, montis - mountain, mountain range, montanus - mountain

This species of wild sparrow isn't often seen in the courtyards of my city; it's mostly populated by common house sparrows. This species, however, begins to flock closer to the city with the onset of autumn, and they can be seen in flocks of house sparrows.

Their main habitat is fields and meadows outside the city. There, they live in large flocks and migrate from place to place. To distinguish them from house sparrows, just look at their brown cap and white cheeks with black spots.
