Hi bloggers and food lovers! Good afternoon—what are you having for lunch today? Today I’m going to share my lunch with a friend who used to be my deskmate in high school. She wanted to meet up to give me her wedding invitation. Even though we’ve been friends for a long time and she works out of town, whenever she’s in Medan, she always stops by my house or we hang out together.

Today we went out and had lunch together at a café called BS Coffee. We ordered two main dishes—Grilled Chicken Rice and Special Fried Kwetiaw—and one side dish of grilled meatballs.
Grilled Chicken Rice

This Grilled Chicken Rice looks beautiful, topped with fried onions and some vegetables. The flavor is quite bold and spicy, with a spicy and fresh soy sauce-based sambal—the tomato chunks make the sambal taste just right and delicious.
The aroma of the fried onions is very fragrant, making this dish even more appealing and delicious to eat.
Special Kwetiaw or flat rice noodles

This Special Kwetiaw has a fairly dominant sesame oil aroma and a slightly spicy flavor. Topped with vegetables and seasoning, it features a blend of egg mixed in. This Chinese-style dish is quite palatable and tastes just right.
Grilled Chicken Meatballs

Chicken meatballs are skewered like satay and grilled with a coating of sauce and soy sauce. The smoky aroma and chewy texture of the meatballs make them a perfect side dish for this meal. The meat has a distinct texture and is light when chewed.
Okay, that’s all for today. Thank you.
