The government is always known for corruption and other negativity. Politics they say is a dirty game, however, I don't really think it's 100% the same in the state where I'm staying.
What's your perspective on the government and politics in general?

There are good people; then there are people. It just depends on the system, management, governance, and most importantly, finances.
Like in my country, there are cities as competing with developed countries. Then there are which feel like facing extreme poverty.

I think many countries have this in common, even some developed countries. Thinking about it much is a lot of work, but then, it's calm
Government and politics is a dirty game but in my state I love what am seeing and I can't really judge anyone for it. Because some have the power and misuse it.
Your state is an awesome place. The government is good. And people are talking positively about it nationwide. I love it there ya'know.
Lately, I prefer not to hear news about the government. For me, they don't exist.
True.. they have a lot of corrupt minds. All they think about is how to pack money in their account
I think it's everywhere, and what I think doesn't matter cuz they will still have the privilege so I stopped thinking, lol.
That's a good way to handle something like this. If you think about it too much, you'll be doing yourself more harm than good because you can't actually change anything alone
I agree with you on that, I mean about your state. Your governor is doing excellently well, we can see and hear of his doings. Politics is indeed a dirty game, even still we can't stop playing it. I just feel a lot of us should be more involved, else it becomes more dirtier...
The man is just doing fantastic. We do know government schools to be one of the dirtiest in the country at large, but this man is gradually rehabilitating government primary and secondary schools to look really good. It looks better than private sef
Many people use to claim political apathy and stay away from politics while their country go down in ruins. It's really bad. If everyone is actively involved in the political affairs of their country, the country would be better.
Honestly, a lot of people fail to realize that either you're involved in it or not, politics itself is involved with you already. So, no matter the steps or decisions those in power take... We are all going to benefit from it... In a good or bad way
True... If the president takes a huge loan today, they wouldn't call it "Tinubu's" loan, rather, they would say that it's "Nigerian's" loan. Everyone needs to be actively involved
There have been leaders who ruled in honesty and care Vs those who did so in sheer selfishness.
To me, whichever politician who gets the title of authority leaves people to label politics as a dirty game, or not.
There are good leaders who rule well, while there are the likes of the current and past president. I saw online where someone was beaten to the point of being hospitalised because he verbalised good things about the current president in a political campaign
Yeah I saw the video as well.
I won't actually blame the people who did that. No one will sit comfortably watching you spout praises about their oppressor, so I'll say they poured out their anger and frustration on the fellow.
True.. I wouldn't blame them too. If I'm there, I would "probably" do same. Emphasis on the probably
Greetings. In my country, politics is dirty; the current government is rife with corruption. Those in power tell the people to persevere when we workers are on low wages, whilst they drive the latest model cars and live like millionaires whilst the people suffer
It's soo sad. During their election campaign, I'm sure that they promised the people to do a lot for them, but when they assumed power, they are just misusing public fund
If anyone rise up to talk against their ill-doings, they would look for a way to shut that person up
Politics generally is not straightforward. People get their hands dirty for affluence and the satisfaction they yearn for through this means is almost never gotten.
However, it's different in developed countries whose leaders know that their role is to serve the masses.
But if you're in Nigeria, I find it interesting to say the corruption is not 100% in a certain place as I'm sure there's no state in this country that can be currently given an upper hand.
Where I stay, though there is corruption between government officials, the governor strictly frowns against it. The governor prioritizes the welfare of his people first, before anything. Infrastructures are developed, roads are built, a lot is actually done in the course of 3 yrs
Dr Alex C Otti OFR is the major person that made me believe that the government can work, and they can achieve things without taking too long. JSYK, Abia state is currently working on having an international airport. Not just that,
We do have 24hrs power supply, except recently when there's Aba-wide power outage. Guess what? The government released and official letter stating why there's a power outage and measures being taken to tackle it. (Something that don't happen in Nigeria).
Oh, we won the award of the best performing state in Nigeria. I can't say everything that's ongoing on here, you can browse it and see the wonders this man is doing
True... They yearn for satisfaction they can never ever get. Some want power to the extent of doing illicit things just to get it. Crazy enough, when they get the power, they would not use it for any tangible thing.
