Hola amigos de @hivefood, ¡espero que hayan tenido un excelente inicio de semana! Por acá, gracias a Dios, fue así, sobre todo porque ayer fuimos a dar una vueltica con los niños, jeje. Algo súper repentino, porque aunque durante la semana habíamos decidido salir, ayer la lluvia se antojó de caer después del mediodía, así que los ánimos bajaron. Nos acostamos a descansar con los niños, pero a eso de las 5:00 p. m. vimos el cielo y estaba mitad nublado y mitad despejado; aun así, decidimos arriesgarnos y nos bañamos y arreglamos volando, jajaja.
Hello friends from @hivefood, I hope you’ve had an excellent start to the week! Over here, thank God, it was just like that, especially because yesterday we went out for a little stroll with the kids, hehe. It was very sudden because, even though we had decided to go out during the week, yesterday the rain decided to pour after noon, so our spirits dropped. We lay down to rest with the kids, but around 5:00 p.m. we looked at the sky and it was half cloudy and half clear; even so, we decided to take a chance and got bathed and ready in a flash, hahaha.
Pasamos primero por un postrecito, pero más adelante les cuento y se los muestro. Estuvimos un rato caminando con los niños, pero rápidamente nos dio hambre 😂 y domingo + lluvia = cero ganas de cocinar, jajaja. Así que comenzamos a buscar qué cenar; Chris quería pizza, pero casi siempre comemos o pizza, o pollo o perros, así que queríamos algo diferente y decidimos arriesgarnos con este nuevo local donde venden cochino 🤤🤤. Se llama Porky Crunch y tienen un menú bien variado, desde enrollados, arepas, bandejas familiares con arepitas, tostones y cochino de 120 g, 250 g y 500 g 🤤🤤; todo se veía delicioso.
First, we stopped for a little dessert, but I'll tell you about that and show it to you later. We spent a while walking with the kids, but we got hungry pretty quickly 😂 and Sunday + rain = zero desire to cook, hahaha. So we started looking for dinner; Chris wanted pizza, but we almost always eat either pizza, chicken, or hot dogs, so we wanted something different. We decided to take a risk with this new place where they sell pork 🤤🤤. It’s called Porky Crunch and they have a very varied menu, ranging from wraps and arepas to family platters with mini arepas, plantain chips (tostones), and pork portions of 120g, 250g, and 500g 🤤🤤; everything looked delicious.
Pero después de pensarlo mucho y consultar con el bolsillo 😂, decidimos irnos por la promo de 3 arepas por 10 $, pero como somos 4, pedimos una arepa adicional por 4 $. Estas vienen con 120 g de cochino, queso amarillo y aguacate. Nos dieron opción de lomo y Porky Belly, que básicamente es un corte con un poco más de grasita y un toque crujiente, así que decidimos pedir 2 y 2 🥰.
But after thinking about it a lot and checking our budget 😂, we decided to go with the 3 arepas for $10 promo, but since there are 4 of us, we ordered an additional arepa for $4. These come with 120g of pork, yellow cheese, and avocado. They gave us the choice between loin and Porky Belly, which is basically a cut with a bit more fat and a crunchy touch, so we decided to order 2 of each 🥰.
Las arepas eran de tamaño normal, pero nos dejaron súper satisfechos; no "full" a punto de explotar, pero sí satisfechos y sin hambre, y los niños se comieron TODO, jajaja. Emita fue la que dejó un poquitico de arepa, pero el cochino no lo peló 😂 y Chris ni se diga, jaja, feliz con esa cena 🥰🥰.
The arepas were normal-sized, but they left us super satisfied; not "stuffed" to the point of bursting, but definitely satisfied and no longer hungry, and the kids ate EVERYTHING, hahaha. Emita was the one who left a tiny bit of arepa, but she didn't miss a single bite of the pork 😂 and Chris, well, needless to say, he was so happy with that dinner 🥰🥰.
Por 16.50 $, sumando el refresco de 1.25 L que pedimos, valió totalmente la pena, así que 100 % recomendado y sin duda repetiremos 🥰.
For $16.50, including the 1.25L soda we ordered, it was totally worth it, so it's 100% recommended and we will definitely go back 🥰.
