They still look great! I agree though that that extra five mins would have made them amazeballs.

I use rapeseed oil in mine and get quite a good result. I get it in bulk so it enmnds up being a cheaper option seein as olive oil prices have gone through the roof!

Olive oil prices here are also absurd, butter is also very expensive.
Back in the day, my grandad grew oilseed rape. I've read it's becoming more and more popular for home use too. Here, we use palm oil. High smoke point, tasteless and relatively healthy, I believe...
