Looking at the social media, we can see how helpful it is in helping us stay connected. But then, it also makes us feel alone at times. What do you think about the social media? Has it brought you closer to people or pushes you further apart? How has the media affected your life?

It all depends on how you choose to use social media. For what it's worth, it's helpful for keeping friends and family closer to each other regardless of the distance.

But people do not invest properly in communication. So, the end result is always disappointing.

Huhm, this is soo true.
We can all say it is a two-edged sword, like you said, it depends on how we choose to make use of it.

Exactly. There are times I use it wrongly but once I get hold of myself again, I set things right. So for one, social media is a blessing to my friends and I.

That's a good one.

Social media is good and bad at the same time.
I lost a lot of friends because of social media and I have gained a lot through social media too .

Huhm...
I guess I can say the same thing for myself too

That's really good

Yeah

Social media is a nice place, you get to interact with people you don't know. Talking about people, nope, it hasn't brought me closer to anyone.

Yeah, it definitely is a nice place.
That's good.

Kk

It all depends on how it’s used for me. Social media is a wonderful tool when folks share ideas and learn from one another and form true communities. If it becomes continual scrolling or comparing, it can subtly push individuals further away. Balance is everything.

You're right about that, sir.
Balance is indeed everything.
And like you said, what and how we make use of it counts.

For the people I love and very much close to, social media hasn't succeeded in creating a distance between us.
Infact, the media hasn't pushed me apart from people in general. If I'm to lose interaction and connection with anyone, it surely has to be other factors.

The media is just as awesome as it's gruesome, whichever it results to depends on our usage.

Huhm, I love that.
Do well to keep it up. A lot of people find it hard to find the balance.
And I agree with you on that too, that it depends on our usage.

So real and unfortunately, family and friends tend to take the major hit in the "imbalance" 🤦🏼‍♀️.
I will, mi bro and of course, you too 🙂‍↔️.

You gerrit 💯...
Sure 😁

🤪🤏🏼🙂‍↔️

I think social media is both good and bad. It has brought people away from each other. Nowadays, people prefer to doom-scroll on Facebook or tictok rather than holding meaningful physical conversations or spending quality time with each other.

Yeah.
Indeed it can be a two-edged sword.
A lot of us don't actually keep close physical friends anymore...

For me, social media has not just only brought me closer to people, it has also help me achieve skills and also stay in touch with my family.

There are days I don't have airtime and I really want to interact with my family or see them. The internet helps me a lot in that aspect.

That's a very good one.
I'm glad the media has been very much helpful to you.

Yeah 👍

💯💯💯

But at the end of the day it all depends on our choice.
It also has it advantages and disadvantages.
It is helpful but at the same time it has pushed a lot of people apart.

I'm guilty of this. Sometimes I will spend hours on tiktok and I will forget I was chatting with someone.

I can very well relate with you on this...
The media definitely has it's own disadvantages too. What's best is to know how to navigate through and balance things so we won't miss out on more important physical things and people.

Yeah you understand my point.

Sure 😃

I started working on that because my friends were complaining. But somehow that app helps me clear my head.

So it's just not completely perfect. Just choose what works for you.
