Happy Spirit of Christmas Day, dear HIVE DIY friends! 🎄❤️

Today, December 21st, we celebrate the arrival of the Christmas spirit, and I want to share with you a lovely craft project to decorate your home this Christmas season. Join me as I share the step-by-step instructions.

Desde hace varios años, he llevado junto a mis hijos, la tradición de recibir el espíritu de la Navidad, cada 21 de diciembre, un poco antes de las doce anotamos en un papel 12 deseos, en ellos escribimos los deseos que más queremos para nuestras vidas, también se pide un deseo en nombre de nuestro país o nuestro lugar de residencia, y por este motivo quise hacer un lindo adorno con la figura de este espíritu, aquí les dejo la lista de materiales a utilizar:

• Una hoja para dibujar el modelo
• Lápiz
• Silicon

For several years now, my children and I have carried on the tradition of welcoming the spirit of Christmas every December 21st. A little before midnight, we write 12 wishes on a piece of paper. On these, we write the wishes we most cherish for our lives. We also make a wish on behalf of our country or place of residence. For this reason, I wanted to make a lovely ornament in the shape of this spirit. Here is the list of materials you will need:

• Assorted colored craft foam
• Scissors
• A sheet of paper for drawing the design
• Pencil
• Glue
• Pipe cleaners

En nuestro primer paso, vamos a hacer el modelo del espíritu de la Navidad, este personaje es parecido a Santa Claus, sólo que con trajes de variados colores, en casi todas las figuras que he visto este, lleva en sus manos variados objetos, como por ejemplo un árbol de Navidad, una estrella, un saco con obsequios, entre otros.

traté de que mi espíritu de la Navidad quedará del tamaño de la hoja, pero se me pasó un poco, así que tuve que pegar una hoja debajo para hacerle la parte inferior, al estar listo doblamos la hoja a la mitad y con la mitad del dibujo vamos a hacer partes de este personaje para pasarlo al foami.

In our first step, we're going to make a model of the Christmas spirit. This character is similar to Santa Claus, only with colorful outfits. In almost all the figures I've seen, he carries various objects, such as a Christmas tree, a star, a sack of gifts, and so on.

I tried to make my Christmas spirit the right size for the sheet of paper, but it was a little too big, so I had to glue another sheet underneath to make the lower part. Once that was done, we folded the sheet in half, and with half of the drawing, we'll make parts of this character to transfer to the foam sheet.

principalmente vamos a cortar la figura del traje, este consta de los dos brazos y la bata, a esta le vamos a hacer orillas doradas que sean sobresalientes, vamos a hacerle la capucha del traje que queda como especie de un babero encima del traje igual con orilla dorada sobresaliente.

Le haremos orillas doradas también en las mangas, le vamos a dibujar la barba junto a las orillas del cabello, y dentro de esta encerrará la figura de la cara, también le vamos a hacer un sombrero bastante gordo, así son los trajes típicos de los lugares donde hay nieve para poder soportar el frío, debajo del traje le vamos a hacer un fondo en otro color y la figura de botas.

We're going to start by cutting out the shape of the suit. This consists of the two arms and the robe. We'll add prominent gold trim to the robe. We'll also add a hood, which will look like a bib over the suit, also with prominent gold trim.

We'll also make a rather large hat, typical of clothing worn in snowy regions to withstand the cold. Underneath the suit, we'll add a background in a different color and the shape of boots.

Al tener todas las piezas listas, vamos a proceder a pegar con Silicon, pego las partes doradas sobre la parte roja, luego voy ubicando cada pieza en su lugar, corto dos formas de guantes en color blanco, Para el rostro voy a utilizar el foami blanco escarchado por el lado del revés, ya que no tengo foami en color piel y para darle el tono de piel lo voy a pintar con rubor sombras de maquillaje.

Once all the pieces are ready, we will proceed to glue them with silicone. I glue the gold parts onto the red part, then I place each piece in its place. I cut out two glove shapes in white. For the face, I will use the white glitter foam on the reverse side, since I don't have skin-colored foam, and to give it the skin tone, I will paint it with blush and makeup shadows.

Pegando las partes que van encima de otra, podemos colocar pequeños trozos de foami por debajo para nivelar entre cada pieza, recordé que tenía unos diamantes de pegar y le coloqué algunos en el traje y el sombrero y

By gluing the pieces together, we can place small pieces of foam underneath to level them. I remembered I had some adhesive diamonds and added a few to the suit and hat.
Finally, using pipe cleaners, I'm going to place the following objects in the hands of my Christmas spirit: the lantern, symbolizing hope, faith, and belief in Christ dispelling the darkness; and the hearts, representing the arrival of peace, love, and spiritual renewal, guiding us toward kindness and family unity during the holidays.

I really like this Christmas spirit tradition, and my children and I enjoy it immensely every year, making our wishes, laughing, and giving thanks for each wish granted.
