Un saludo cordial para todos los amigos que comparten en esta comunidad desde la distancia les envío un fuerte abrazo de amor solidaridad paz y armonía familiar para este nuevo año 2026 donde las experiencias y compartir serán parte de nuestro crecimiento al lado de nuestros seres queridos, durante la festividades siempre tenemos tradiciones y cada hogar refleja eso junto a su familia es por ello que cada 24 de diciembre acostumbro a preparar en casa las tradicionales allá acá sin embargo este año cambié de planes y dejé la preparación para el 30 de diciembre, luego de comprar y organizar todo para preparar las tradicionales hallacas así comenzó nuestro día.

From afar, I send you a big hug of love, solidarity, peace, and family harmony for this new year 2026, where experiences and sharing will be part of our growth alongside our loved ones. During the holidays, we always have traditions, and each home reflects that with its family. That's why every December 24th, I usually prepare the traditional hallacas at home. However, this year I changed my plans and left the preparation for December 30th. After buying and organizing everything to prepare the traditional hallacas, our day began.
Este día todo la familia se pone manos a la obra pues tenemos que lavar picar y organizar todos los ingredientes que vamos a utilizar para la preparación de este platillo, siempre me gusta integrar a mis hijos pues quiero que ellos mantengan estas tradiciones cuando crezcan y tengan su propia familia, así que todos tienen su papel dentro de esta preparación y no podía faltar este año la grandiosa sorpresa de tener en casa a mi mamá en casa, quien vino de visita a preparar las de acá junto a mí pues esta tradición me la enseñó ella ahora hoy el día llevo muy en alto en mi hogar.
On this day, the whole family gets to work because we have to wash, chop, and organize all the ingredients we're going to use to prepare this dish. I always like to involve my children because I want them to maintain these traditions when they grow up and have their own families. So everyone has their role in this preparation, and this year, we couldn't miss the wonderful surprise of having my mom at home. She came to visit and prepare these dishes with me because she taught me this tradition, and now I proudly uphold it in my home.
Este es un momento mágico que siempre disfrutamos al son de las músicas tradicionales como gaitas y villancicos, siempre tenemos algo para brindar y disfrutar mientras estemos en la preparación entre risas y alegría vamos dándole forma a cada una de nuestras hallacas generando nuevos momentos inolvidables para mi familia, todos los años son diferentes siempre hay algo nuevo que contar y recordar.
This is a magical moment that we always enjoy to the sound of traditional music like bagpipes and Christmas carols. We always have something to toast and enjoy while we are preparing, amidst laughter and joy we give shape to each of our hallacas, generating new unforgettable moments for my family. Every year is different, there is always something new to tell and remember.
Finalmente quedamos contentos con nuestra preparación tuvimos un total de 42 hallacas las cuales serán parte del compartir con otras familias, siempre manteniendo la unión pese a los momentos difíciles que estamos viviendo actualmente como todos venezolanos vemos el lado positivo y seguimos manteniendo nuestro espíritu, tradiciones y cultura con nuestro mayor esfuerzo a fin de vivir días especiales con nuestros seres queridos. Feliz año 2026 lleno de mucha prosperidad, paz, amor!
We were finally pleased with our preparation; we made a total of 42 hallacas, which we will share with other families. We are maintaining our unity despite the difficult times we are currently experiencing. Like all Venezuelans, we see the positive side and continue to uphold our spirit, traditions, and culture with our best efforts, so that we can enjoy special days with our loved ones.
