I always try to fit cafes in my travels, mainly because I need a break when I'm all out day, and it's nice to use that as a comparison between countries and cities.

I get theme parks trying to sell photos from rides because you can't take the same shot yourself, but like you, I still wouldn't buy it 🙃. But in a cafe, and charge the same amount as a tea set? That's just ridiculous. That said, I did see a guy buy his
