Good afternoon, family and friends. I hope you are all doing well. I don't think I've posted here before, so I'll be spending some time reading your posts and catching up, but not before documenting this day as one of the most beautiful of the year. And it's all thanks to a coworker who, when I first met her, I didn't know would become a friend.

Buen día amigos de family and friends, espero que se encuentren muy bien por aquí, creo que no he publicado antes aquí, por lo que estaré un rato leyendoles y poniéndome al tanto, pero no sin antes dejar este día documentado como uno de los más lindos del año. Y todo resulta gracias a una compañera de trabajo, que cuando la conocí no sabía que se convertiría en una amiga.
She took me to her favorite bar, very close to our work, and as life is subtle but incisive, the first time we went there I ran into a great friend from my teenage years. I thought he lived somewhere else, so it was a complete surprise. After that, we went back many times and there we were, in the same bar, with the same people and the unmistakable good vibes that you find in the best bars.

The bar owner said one day, as we were getting into the Uber, “I'll see you on Sunday,” and we both laughed. We didn't think he was serious, but he was more serious than we realized. He wanted to bring together friends, clients, employees, everyone he liked, for a street lunch with music and board games.

El dueño del bar dijo un día, cuando subíamos al uber 'las espero el domingo' y nos reímos ambas. No pensábamos que hablaba en serio, pero era más serio de lo que pudimos notar. So we went, and we arrived early, obviously. But very soon, the fire on a street in the Martínez neighborhood spread across the entire avenue at an incredible speed. I think the whole neighborhood wanted to join our barbecue; the aroma is always tempting.

We had one, two, three Fernets. We laughed, chatted, exchanged ideas, plans, networks, anecdotes, stories. There was no shortage of card and dice games. As the evening wore on, we were all very full and very happy.

I was delighted. Not only did I get to photograph the space and enjoy a barbecue with friends in a disruptive way, but Sunday had been a bit of a downer, and being surrounded by friendly people completely changed that.

I went back a few times to see them, visit the place, and toast, but certainly no gathering will be like that one, in the middle of winter with cheeks tired from laughing.

I think being able to write here about my friendships and how I feel about them is something beautiful, as is the case today, about a place where I didn't expect to find such friendly people and reaffirm the idea of friendship. Understanding that, over time, acquaintances become friends is an achievement I didn't have for 2025, but it was achieved. Perhaps my best message in this post is that what we don't seek appears and happens in magical ways.

Creo que poder escribir por aquí sobre mis relaciones de amistad y cómo me siento al respecto es algo hermoso, como es el caso de hoy, sobre un lugar donde no esperaba encontrar gente tan amable y reivindicar la idea de amistad. Entender que con el paso del tiempo, los conocidos se vuelven amigos, es un logro que no tenía para el 2025 y fue logrado. Quizás mi mejor mensaje en este post, es que aquello que no buscamos aparece y se da de formas mágicas.
