Hello, how are you? I rarely cooked this past week. It is always my brother, and sometimes I forget to document it as I always do LOL. So this lunch, my brother didn't wake up to cook, so I volunteered like I always do, whenever he never felt like cooking that dish, he always asks me to cook it hahaha.
As I always say, our Malunggay Tree blessed us again with a lot of Malunggay Pods to harvest, and now and then we always eat it, not gonna miss once a week, so I am going to cook Ginisang Malunggay Pods, but with unique fried fish, have you heard about Moon Fish? It is delicious in everything you cook it, you name it.

Let's Cook!
Let's Cook!
In a pan, I added 1 tablespoon of cooking oil and let it heat up.
Then I added the meat, cooked it until it turned brown and crispy.
Then I added the aromatics like garlic, red onion, and ginger, and I sautéed them until they released their aroma.
After that, I added the tomatoes next and let them cook until the texture turned mushy.
Then I added 2 tablespoons of bagoong, let the bagoong seep into the tomatoes for about 10-20 seconds.
Then I added 2 cups of water and a cube of chicken broth for extra flavor.
And when it started boiling, I added the kamote in.
Then I added the malunggay pods. To even look at the pods, I mix everything every 5 minutes. I did it about 5 times, or until the color changed into a yellowish green color.
This is what I am talking about. The color of the malunggay pods when cooked. Now the Ginisang Malunggay pods are ready to be served.
Here is a close-up look to the dish.
Time To Fry Fish:
Time To Fry Fish:
I season the fish with 2 tablespoons of fish sauce and half a teaspoon of all-in-one seasoning.
In another pan, I pour about half a cup of cooking oil. Let the pan heat up.
Then I added the two Moon fish first and let them fry on both sides until crispy.
It has been a while since I ate Moon fish. It is rarely sold here, so we are lucky they sell it today.
Serve hot and plated.
Happy eating!
Thank you for visiting, see you on my next blog. :D
