Hello, how are you? It has been a while since I posted a cooking blog, and to be honest, I didn’t cook that much last month, so nothing to write about LOL. I only have time on weekends, and weekends mean my parents are home, so that means I am going to cook home-cooked food.
So when my brother and I were the only ones left at home, I rarely cooked meals, just fast-cooked food like eggs LOL. Sometimes when I stop cooking, I tend to forget how to cook a food right, but muscle memory is strong, so yeah, I am going to cook Pinakbet, my version, and that means Ilo
Ingredients I Used:
Ingredients I Used:
- Cooking Oil
- Meat
- Garlic
- Red Onion
- Ginger
- Tomatoes
- Bagoong
- Chicken Broth Cube
- Water
- Okra
- Thai Eggplant
- Green Chilis
- Alukon
- Small Bittergourd
Let's Cook!
Let's Cook!
In a hot pan, I added about two tablespoons of cooking oil.
Then I added the meat and cooked it until the texture turned crispy.
When the meat is crispy, I add the aromatics like garlic, red onion, and ginger.
After sauteeing aromatics, I added tomatoes and cook it until they turned mushy.
Then I added two tablespoons of Bagoong. If you don't have bagoong, you can use fish sauce and let the bagoong seep into the tomatoes.
Then I added two cups of water.
When it starts boiling, I am going to add one chicken broth cube.
Time to add the veggies, first, I am going to add the okras.
Then the Thai eggplants.
Then green chilis.
Then the alakun.
For the last small bittergourd, make sure to put it on top of all the veggies, then cook for about 5-7 minutes at high heat with the lid on.
Serve hot and plated.
Happy eating! :D
Thank you for visiting, see you on my next blog. :D
