Hello friends, happy NeedleWorkMonday! Merry Christmas to all. I hope your week begins with many blessings and concrete plans. Last week flew by. Before I knew it, it was Sunday, and I hadn't prepared anything for it. Since I'm busy with Christmas preparations, my friend suggested I make her a headband to wear during the holidays. She loves wearing headbands at Christmas. I asked her how she wanted it, and she explained the design. It was one that suits her hair type perfectly. She has thick, curly hair, and this design fits her hair volume beautifully. It's a red and white fabric bandana shaped like a candy cane, with some additional details I added: red cherries and some green patterned fabric leaves left over from a previous project. She didn't have the fabric, so I gave it to her as a surprise.
I tried on this headband and it looks super cute! I was inspired to make one for myself too. I hope you like it and are inspired to wear an easy and simple handmade headband. It's lovely for little girls. I already have two clients who don't pay because they're my nieces. One wants one in green and white fabric, and the other wants one in red and white like the one I made for my friend.

Hola amigos, feliz día de NeedleWorkMonday, feliz Navidad para todos, espero que su semana comience con muchas bendiciones y planes concretos, la semana pasada se me fue muy rápido, cuando me di cuenta de que los días pasaron tan rápido, ya era domingo y no tenía algo preparado para este día así que como ando en los preparativos de Navidad mi amiga me sugirió que le hiciera un cintillo para lucirlo en estos días de Navidad, a ella le encanta usar estos atuendos en Navidad, le pregunte que como lo quería, me explico el diseño, era uno que se adapta muy bien a su tipo de cabello, ella es de cabello abundante y rizado y este diseño se ajusta muy bien a su volumen de cabello, una bandana de tela de color rojo con blanco, para hacer un bastón de caramelo, con unos detalles adicionales que le coloque, de cerezas rojas, y unas hojas de tela estampada con verde, que me quedo de uno de mis trabajos anteriores, ella no tenía las telas y se las regale, para sorprenderla.
Me probé este cintillo y queda súper lindo, me anime a hacerme uno para mí también, espero les guste y se animen a usar un cintillo hecho a mano fácil y sencillo, es lindo para las niñas, ya tengo 2 clientas que no pagan porque son mis sobrinas, una quiere uno tela verde y blanco y la otra quiere uno de rojo y blanco como el que le hice a mi amiga.

We'll take the measurements of the ribbon, width by length, to cut the sponge that will be used as padding for the headband. The padding measures 30 cm long x 5 cm wide. The sponge is placed in the center of the headband, and the ends are sewn so they don't roll or distort the headband.
At this point, the headband is finished, but I'm not entirely happy with how simple it looks. I wanted to give it a different touch, so I cut some circles from red fabric, stuffed them with sponge, and sewed them together to make little red fabric balls. I also got a piece of green patterned fabric for the leaves and decoration.
Tomaremos las medidas de la cinta, ancho por largo, para cortar la esponja que usaremos como relleno para el cintillo. El relleno mide 30 cm de largo x 5 cm de ancho. La esponja se coloca en el centro del cintillo y se cosen los extremos para que no se enrollen ni deformen.
En este punto, el cintillo está listo, como no me convencia, lo simple que se veía, quería darle un toque diferente, así que corte unos círculos de tela roja, los rellene con esponja y cosí para hacer unas bolitas de tela roja, también conseguí un trozo de tela con estampado verde para las hojas y decore.

El cintillo se ve precioso! Me lo probé y me quedó increíble. Se ajusta de maravilla, es cómoda y suave, y es un accesorio bonito y fácil de hacer. Espero que les guste, y si no se animan a usarla, ¡hazla para sus niñas! ¡Seguro que les encantará!
