Happy Friday Hivers!
I am truly grateful to God for my mother’s grandmother, who owned a piece of land located near the shoreline. Although we experience strong waves and powerful winds whenever there is a storm, when the weather is good, the place becomes incredibly beautiful. We truly enjoy the breathtaking view and the peaceful surroundings.

It so happened that my mother’s portion of the land is directly facing the sea. I can truly say that we are very fortunate because we live close to the shoreline and, at the same time, close to the road. Whenever we want to relax by the sea, we only need to step outside our house and the beach is already right in front of us. And when we go to the market or to church, it’s also very convenient because we are near the highway, making everything easily accessible.

There are times when I choose to cook outside instead of inside the house because it can feel boring indoors. All I see are the four corners of the house, so I prefer to cook outside where I can enjoy a beautiful view.

One time, my mother wasn’t at home, so I cooked our dinner. When I checked the freezer, I found some fish, so I decided to fry it instead. Before frying, I cleaned the fish, and afterward I brought everything outside to cook.

Who would ever feel bored with a view like this while cooking? You can watch the sun slowly setting on the horizon, and as it gradually goes down, you witness the changing colors of the sky, becoming even more beautiful to look at. The sight of Himokilan Island adds an extra charm to the view.

I prefer cooking outside the house, facing the beach. I don’t feel lazy at all, especially when I have a view like this and some good music playing. With that kind of atmosphere, I’m happy to cook even if I still have a lot of dishes to prepare.
Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog. Cheers!
