My cabbage and carrot sauce with spaghetti

in Plant Power (Vegan) โ€ข 4 days ago

Hello vegan lovers, grateful for another weekend.๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿฝ Hope your weekend has started well. Today is pasta Saturday as I made a delicious cabbage and carrot sauce with my slurpy pasta for the family. Here are the ingredients I used below

. 2 packs of spaghetti

. 3 cooking spoon Vegetable oil

. 1 medium sized cabbage

. 8 carrot sticks

. 1 onion bulb

. 7 pieces of habanero pepper

. 1 pack of tomato paste

. All purpose seasoning(1/4 teaspoon)

. Black pepper(1/4 teaspoon)

. Garlic/ginger powder (1/4 teaspoon)

Preparation
Boil some water in a pot, add a table spoon of vegetable oil and half table spoon of salt. When it starts boiling put in the spaghetti

Leave to boil for 15 minutes mins and get the ingredients ready for the sauce

Wash and grate/chop the cabbage

Scrape and chop the carrots

Peel, wash and chop the onions

Check the spaghetti if it is soft enough and take away from the heat to drain the water and it's ready

Pound or blend the peppers and it's time to cook

Add some oil to the pot on fire and put in the tomato sauce when it's hot.

Add the crushed peppers

Saute for 5 mins and put in half a tablespoon of salt, add the garlic, ginger and all purpose spice let it cook for another one minute.

Add the carrots and leave to cook for 3 minutes

Put in the chopped cabbage and stir

Then add the onions ( I like to put it later to have them crunchy too)

Leave for a few seconds and the sauce in ready

This was very delicious and everyone who ate it enjoyed it.

Will you be trying this? I assure you, you will love it!

It looks yummy ! But 7 habanero chillis would kill me, I'm a total wimp when it comes to spicy food ๐Ÿ˜†

Lol can imagine, we love it spicy out here so we use it a lot.

I was bought up eating typical English food, so herbs but very little in the way of spices. My wife is a wonderfully talented cook (I'm not, I can burn water if I try to cook anything ๐Ÿ˜‚), and she has been trying to very gradually increase the amount of spices she uses to build up my tolerance. It's slowly starting to work, but I'm a long way from being able to handle really spicy stuff......

My grandmother could burn water too! ๐Ÿคฃ She also one cooked a frozen pizza in the oven with the Styrofoam tray still underneath and I'll never forget the taste of that, even though she thought she'd managed to remove it all. She honestly wasn't too bad a cook most of the time, though. ๐Ÿซฃ

Yeah she's truly talented because it really has to be gradual if you were not brought up eating spicy, some are even allergic to it and can cause some serious problems if they just had it too spicy for the first time. Lol to think you can burn water, ur cooking skills must be under zer0๐Ÿ˜
