Sugar is slow poison

in Hive Learnersyesterday

Health is wealth, and it is known to all. And we discuss health; everyone agrees that it is very necessary to take care of health properly to maintain fitness. We also agree not to consume harmful substances like alcohol because it harms our bodies badly. The effect of alcohol can be deadly, considering the situation, and people can choose to deny it. Maybe people are concerned about health, and that's a reason, but actually, I don't think people are very much concerned about health. They just pretend they're serious about health, but their actions are totally opposite. Let me explain how.

Because of modern science, there are now cures for many illnesses, and it's a good thing, but it also has side effects. If we become sick, it's okay to take medicine, but the best way to live a healthy life is to keep our bodies fit by exercising and maintaining a healthy diet. But most of us actually end up not doing so, and we are ready to go to the hospital after getting sick. I hope you can understand why I said most of us are not so serious about our health.

Taking alcohol can be harmful in various ways; we try to regulate it, and if possible, we try to avoid it. But every day we are consuming sugar in our food. I believe that in almost all of our food there exists an amount of sugar that acts in our body like slow poisoning. Most of the sugary foods are very delicious, and many of us cannot resist consuming them. Fast food like pizza and burgers contains huge amounts of sugar, and naturally, consuming those foods on a regular basis is not a good thing and is very harmful to health. Additionally, almost all of the cold drinks contain a massive amount of sugar, and it's very popular to take them with any kind of food.

Now, a question comes to mind: should it be regulated like people do when it comes to alcohol? In my opinion, there should be a balance in every case. In the case of sugar consumption, it should be the same. I think there is no way to stop consuming sugar fully because if we try to maintain a sugar-free life, we will miss lots of delicious food, and I am not on the side of missing such kinds of things, but at the same time, I don't support the reckless consumption of sugary food. I believe that taking in sugary food sometimes is ok. Health is important, but sometimes it's also important to nourish our souls. And consuming sugary food sometimes won't do too much harm to our bodies. But I am strongly against consuming fast food regularly because it's like consuming poison every time.

So, I indeed support taking sugary food within a limit, but I think the lifestyle also matters for it. I think that for a lazy person, taking sugary food should be restricted if the person wants to live a good life. At the end, I think we know well what is good for us and how much our body can take. But as much as we can ignore the sugary food, it's better for us.

Health is the ultimate wealth we can ever get, but unfortunately, people live a lifestyle that don't promote positive health, one of which is excessive sugar ingestion.

I think people should not only be aware of the consequences of this, but they should try everything possible to avoid the consequences

Guilty! I'm fond of sugary foods, and it's not easy to let go of them completely. Although I can now proudly say, I'm consuming less and less these days :)
