Ho! Ho! Ho! Magandang buhay!
Christmas Day was spent at my sister's place. We were there all day, and my dad and brother, with his fam, joined us in the afternoon. So more chismis as usual. We even planned for our escapade in the coming new year, which got us all excited. The kids even teased us that we should go tomorrow.
Anyway, except for the BBQ (which the hubby and my niblings took good care of), most of the food was ordered from the local caterer, because we didn't wish to do the cooking.

Well, we used to cook in the past, but thanks to them, and their party platters or trays (we call them bilao), we don't have to tire ourselves preparing dishes on occasions like this, so we have more time for chismis instead, LOL!
Kimbap and salad spring rolls were among the nibbles we enjoyed today. They have become a familiar sight on our family table on celebrations or get-togethers because we all love them. Even the kids don't say no to these delicacies.
Unfortunately, not everyone was present. My other siblings who live in the city couldn't make it, but we still enjoyed the celebration. Though the day seemed very short, and the night arrived so soon, we had to leave. We would have stayed and slept over, but the boys will be harvesting at the farms tomorrow.
The day is almost over, and we are very grateful, for our souls have been fed with much love and warm connection. The teasing, giggles, laughter, and everything in between have rekindled our family bond, especially for the younger ones, who sometimes don't have time to meet more often due to their academic commitments.
It's been a wonderful Christmas Day for our wee family, though we miss Mom so much, and we hope she is having a lovely party amongst the angels🙏
