Dinner time is one of the times of the day I always look forward to. It is the time we share meals completely as a whole family.

During breakfast, my son eats first as his class is earlier than mine and I seldomly eat breakfast that is why we rarely join each other for breakfast. Meanwhile my partner also only drinks coffee for breakfast.

It is during dinner that all of us shares a meal. Tonight, we bought some ready to eat roasted chicken from our favorite grilling store and we paired some fermented fish for added saltiness.

It is just me, my partner and Jacob. It makes us complete plus our furbaby, Uno. As we share our meals, not only do we share food but we also share laughter and happiness as we tell stories and share experiences as to how our entire day went.

Here are our viands: to eat roasted chicken or in Cebuano term: "Lechon Manok" and fermented fish which in Cebuabo term is called "ginamos bulinaw".

The ready to eat roasted whole chicken was bought at Tatay Luy's our favorite store which sells grilled whole chicken and grilled liempo. The grilled whole chicken is ₱230.00, and the fermented fish was for ₱20.00.

The savory taste of the whole roasted chicken was perfectly paired with the saltiness of the fermented fish which was perfectly paired with rice, which is every Filipino's staple food.

To top it all off, we had creamy avocado for dessert. As I have seen on social media, other countries eat avocadoes as an ingredient to their toasts. But here in the Philippines, we eat it on a different way.

We mash avocadoes, add some milk either powdered milk or evaporated milk and place it on the refrigerator for better consumption.

Sometimes, we also blend avocadoes if there is a blender availability.

Before we ate our much-awaited dessert, we took a groufie family photo and our dog Uno is caught paying so much attention to the foods rather than smiling for the camera.

It was a simple yet perfect dinner for us. We were able to enjoy our favorite foods with the presence of our loved ones.

To good food and good family! Ciao!❤️

What perfect dinner you had, the combination of fermented fish and lechon was one of the best. Rice is a must also. The dessert was also yummy.

I love that the saltiness of the fermented fish balanced with the savory flavor of the roasted chicken. I love to eat it every once in a while. Not seldom though cause it can trigger uti. Rice is indeed a must for us Filipinos as it is our staple food and good thing it is already avocado season we bought it for ₱40.00 per kilo what a great steal already!😊💖
Thank you so much for dropping by, @saijan19

A happy family! And yes naman, Uno's included 🤩❤️. Yong ginamos, di pa ko nakakatikimm nyaan. 🤔 Kala ko nong una bagoong, pero hilaw eh no?

Uno is like our second child already. Ginamos is fermented fish sis which we call bulinaw, I am not sure though what is the name sa place niyo ay basta tong maliliit talaga na isda. I think bagoong is different, ito ay parang mas bigger in sizes hehehehe
