Today i would like to share the recipe ofMix Dal & Chawal in which curry prepared mainly with the 4 different lentil varieties,pour the tempering over it, then served with the stream Rice. It is healthy and Delicious in taste, even indian most comfort food, it is common indian recipes too which can be served during lunch or Dinner. I made simple tempering here but You can also make it with onion and tomato if you like. You should definitely try this recipe. It is easy, requires few ingredients, and is both delicious and healthy. Do let me know in the comment section how you liked it!

Ingredients 📃


• ¼ cup Moong Dal
• ¼ cup Chana Dal.
• ¼ cup Toor/Arhar Dal.
• ¼ cup Split Black Urad Dal.
• 1 tbsp of turmeric.
• Salt to taste.
• water as required.

Making Tempering

• 4 tbsp of Ghee.
• 1 tbsp of Asafoetida.
• 1 tbsp Kashmiri Laal Mirch.
• 1 tbsp of Cumin.

Making Rice 🍚

• 1 Cup of Rice.
• Water as required.

Note : You can add any other lentil as your taste & preference, This 1:1:1:1 ratio is easy to remember and gives a nice creamy yet slightly textured dal.

Take all the lentils in the specified quantities in a bowl and mix them well. If you like, you can also add kidney beans, chickpeas, or whatever else you prefer

Now, wash this thoroughly with water 2-3 times to remove all dirt and polish, then soak it for half an hour.

Note: If you add chickpeas and kidney beans to this, you'll need to soak them overnight; otherwise, they won't soften while cooking.

Now, throw away the that soaked water and add the lentils into the pressure cooker and Water to cover up it level and Also add Turmeric powder and Salt, stir it so that everything combined well.

Now close the pressure cooker lid and cook on high flame for 2 whistles, then on medium flame for 3 whistles.

Turn off the stove and let the pressure release naturally. Then open the cooker and check your lentils. If the skins have separated, don't worry—that's just its natural texture.

Your dal is completely ready. Whenever you want to serve it, apply the tempering (tadka).


Tempering

Heat oil in the Tadka pan, splutter cumin and asafoetida,Now, turn off the flame and then add the red chilli to avoid the burning of Red Chilli Powder.

Pour the Tadka(Tempering) over the Daal, stir well. so that everything get mix well.


Rice 🍚

Take 1 cup rice (200 grams) bowl.

Begin to rinse the rice grains in running water. Rinse the rice with a gentle swirling of your fingers in the bowl. Soak the price for atleast 10 minutes.

Place rice and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium high. Cooked untill rice get soft and water is get drain.

To check your Rice, You can either press the rice grains between the forefinger or bite a few rice grains, it should get mashy.

Your Rice is ready to serve.


Serving Dal Chawal

Now, to serve the dal chawal, we've poured the dal into a plate and neatly plated the rice for garnish. Then, we added a tadka on top to make it look even more delicious.
